SRCBC UNIVERSITY CENTRE (SRCBC) was formerly a CONTINENTAL UNIVERSITY (CU). The CU was founded in 1964 by Mrs. Christy A. Anne, an American educator residing in Kiribati, Liberia. It was started as a non-formal institution by teaching at the villages and then the idea was developed and she gathered a group of village folks to give them a little education. This was the start of the Distance Education Program of the CU and moved to Manila due to civil war in 1995.

The CU started to merge with Sta. Rosa College of Business and Computer in the Philippines and the university was authorized to operate a Non-Traditional Program with authority given by Philippine Government in 1996. The University was established regular traditional education program in 2001 and it became the SRCBC UNIVERSITY CENTRE (SRCBC) with the corporation name until the present.

The SRCBC has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) which is an autonomous state college duly established by law and operates on its own charter and RA 8292, otherwise known as the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1996 as well as the EARIST can offer Undergraduate courses, Master's courses and Doctorate courses approved by the board of trustees on 2001, and then it was re-entered in 2007.
