I: Purpose
|

Section
1: To help educate the people who are athirst
of learning and high hopes for the
future.

develop a deep interest in other cultures,
making this its contribution to global
understanding.

provide quality education for people from
all walks of life regardless of age, sex,
religion, or ethnic origin.

4: To mold a well-prepared, socially fit, and
morally upright citizen.

Article
II: Name
|
|
Section
1: The name of the university shall be called
Continental University.
|
Section
2: As
used herein, the word " University" means
Continental University.
|
|
|
Article
III: Faculty and Staff
|
|
Section
1: The faculty shall compose of Part-time and
Full-time professors: guest professor, lecturer, assistant
professor, associate professor, professor, and head
professor.
|
Section
2: Promotion
for faculty and staff shall be done
accordingly.
|
Section
3: Each department shall have one department head.
|
Section
4: The faculty staff shall be appointed by the
President through the recommendation of the Board
of Regents.

Article
IV: Academic Programs
|
|
Section
1: The University shall offer Bachelor's Degree,
Master's Degree, and Doctorate Degree courses in the
following fields of study: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor
of Science, Bachelor of Oriental Medicine, Bachelor
of Alternative Medicine, Master of Arts, Master of
Science, Master of Information Technology, Master
of Computer Applications, Master of Oriental Medicine,
Master of Alternative Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy,
Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Doctor of Alternative
Medicine, and Doctor of Education.

Article
V: Admission and Registration
|
|
Section
1: For freshmen and old students, the admission
period for the first semester shall be done from the
second week up to the last week of May. Second semester
shall be done from the second week up to the third
week of October.
|
Section
2: Transferees may be admitted a month before
the admission time and/or in the middle of the semester.
|
Section
3: Registration shall be done thru online registration.
|
Section
4: Applicants must qualify to register for admission.

Article
VI: Credit Bank/Credited Subjects
|
|
Section
1: Credit
Bank shall serve as the depository bank of credits
taken by the student/s from different academic institutions.
|
Section
2: Student/s
who wish to enroll in the University shall submit
their deposited credits, embanked in the credit bank
of other academic institutions, shall be evaluated
and approved by the University Council.
|
Section
3: Only
evaluated and approved credits shall be honored by
the University.
|
Section
4: Student/s with complete credits (bank credits)
must enroll in the university to at least one semester
to graduate.
|

Article
VII: Fees
|
|
Section
1: All fees shall be payable on cash basis only.
|
Section
2: Payments for tuition fee shall be fully paid
before the start of classes.
|
Section
3: Tuition fee shall be paid to the respective
Regional University Centre where cyber education program
offered.
|
Section
4: Student shall pay the tuition fee only to its
respective country. If the students pay its tuition
fees to the University Centre in Manila, the said
university centre will forward its payment to the
concern Regional University Centre.

Section
5: Failure to pay the University fees shall not
be admitted.
|
Section
6: Honored degree grantees in the "Article
Section
7: Honored Degree" shall not pay any other
expenses.
|

|
Article
VIII: Curriculum and Course Load
|
|
Section
1: Curriculum must be updated to meet the quality
standard of education.
|
Section
2: The normal allowed course load should be 16
credits minimum and 24 credits maximum except for
Oriental Medicine which shall have 30 credits maximum
per semester. For freshmen and sophomores (except
for first semester), the maximum course load shall
be 21 credits, however, students from the College
of Medicine are allowed to have a normal load of 27
credits. Those students whose grade averaging to 3.75
and up from previous semester are allowed to carry
an additional of three to six credits.

Section
3: A student who cannot complete a course may
request for withdrawal approved by the instructor,
the student's advisor, the chair of the department
concern, and the Registrar of the University. However,
the student may not then register for another degree
in place of the withdrawn course.

Section
4: A student must have finished at least a minimum
of 16 credits or equivalent to one (1) semester to
be classified as a regular student.
|

Article
IX: Period of Study
|
|
Section
1: The required study period of each course for
Bachelor's degree shall be four (4) years or equivalent
to eight (8) semesters except for Bachelor of Oriental
Medicine which shall be taken within six (6) years
or equivalent to twelve (12) semesters.
|
Section
2: Student/s shall take the maximum load if he/she
wishes to graduate at an earlier period.
|
Section
3: Master's degree shall have two and a half (2
1/2) years or equivalent to five (5) semesters except
for Oriental Medicine, which shall be taken within
three (3) years, or equivalent to six (6) semesters.
|
Section
4: Student/s of Master's degree can graduate within
two (2) years upon completion of thesis and the required
36 credits except for the College of Medicine.
|
Section
5: Doctorate degree shall have two and a half
(2 1/2) up to three (3) years or equivalent to six
(6) semesters.
|
Section
6: Student/s who maintain at least a grade of
3.75 and takes maximum credits per semester, may complete
the desired course earlier than the normal given time
for each course.

Article
X: Student Grades
|
|
Section
1: Students shall be given one regular examination
which will be conducted and fall on Saturday at the
end of every semester. Students are allocated with
only one-month to complete the examination.
Beyond one month of non-completion of examination
will automatically be given a grade of F (equivalent
to failed).
